Dark Edge Press Sign Crime Author, Chris Hill, Two-book Deal

We're very pleased to announce today that we've signed crime author, Chris Hill, a two-book deal.

His first title explores how a seemingly average person can commit murder. The subject of nature versus nurture is also touched upon.

Chris works in communications for children’s charity WellChild. He has a background in newspaper journalism as a crime reporter and editor. He was news editor of the evening newspaper in Gloucester during the Fred and Rose West case.

Originally from Barrow-in-Furness Chris now lives in Gloucestershire with his wife, two sons and Murphy the Cockerpoo.

As a short story writer he won a number of awards including the prestigious Bridport Prize. His first book, Song of the Sea God, a dark literary novel, published by Skylight Press was shortlisted for both the Daily Telegraph Novel in a Year competition and the Yeovil Literature Prize. His second novel, The Pick-Up Artist, a rom-com, was published by Magic Oxygen and won a prize in the Luke Bitmead Bursary competition.

We're thrilled to have Chris on board and we're looking forward to giving his novels the audience they deserve.
